Enter localappdata in the input field and press Enter.
To do that, follow these steps: Press Windows + R keys to open the Run tool. In such a case, you can delete this folder to resolve the issue. If the Outlook App data folder has become too large, it can create the Outlook not opening issue. This time only 32-bit versions of Office 2010, plus Outlook 2007, and Outlook 2003 are affected. Outlook 2010 on win 764 system starts to load then minimizes itself in the task bar not allowing me to open. Thank you for for all the help! I learned a lot through this troubleshooting process, Exchange is up to date, and we have some best practices implemented. Another week, another problem with Outlook and Windows 10. I have no idea why this account was there and why it was set up in this way. This is why documentation is so important. I deleted the "cgatepvs" user and BOOM, everything works! Its been decommissioned for about 2 years now. The previous consulting group had Websense installed on the Exchange server. I thought maybe "Content Gateway?" so I googled it, and I got hits for " I also don't use the default "users" OU :-)
This was nothing I created because I put descriptions in service accounts. So I am sitting here thinking what the heck the "cgatepvs" could be. I returned a result! A user account called "cgatepvs" that was in the default "user" OU. Text adfind -f "servicePrincipalName=http/" -gcb
Oh, if it matters, we are running Exchange 2010. No big deal, I enter the info, click next, enter my credentials, they are accepted, and boom, my email loads. If I am off the LAN (for example my home wifi) and I try and create my outlook profile, it works fine! My name and email are not populated when I open outlook for the first time. When I cancel the credentials prompt, the application crashes. When I click next, it prompts me for credentials (which is odd to me, because it should just pass my windows credentials) Any credentials I try and type in are rejected (I have tried domain\username, and my email address). When I open Outlook 2016 for the first time, it populates my name and email as I would expect. I tried the registry entries as described. Basically the issue appears exactly like described in this KB article I am unable to create a new email profile in Outlook 2016 on our LAN. I have not run across a problem this weird in a very long time.
